The General Maths difference
VCE General Mathematics is applied maths — students interpret data, model finance and solve network and matrix problems set in real contexts. Marks are often lost on reading the question, choosing the right technique and using the CAS calculator efficiently. Our sessions train a repeatable method for each topic, so students work accurately and confidently under time pressure.

How it is assessed
Units 3 and 4 are assessed through school-based SACs, including application tasks and modelling or problem-solving tasks. We plan around your school's SAC calendar so each task is rehearsed before it counts.
The CAS calculator is used throughout General Maths. Sessions build fast, accurate calculator routines for regression, finance solvers and matrices.
Questions are set in real-world scenarios. We train students to read carefully, identify the right model and interpret their answer in context.
There are two external exams covering Units 3 and 4: Exam 1 is multiple choice and Exam 2 is extended answer. Preparation moves to timed practice and examiner-standard feedback on past VCAA questions.
