The HSC Chemistry difference
Band 6 Chemistry rewards reasoning. We teach it.
HSC Chemistry questions ask students to apply ideas to unfamiliar reactions and data, not recite definitions. Sessions train that reasoning explicitly: explaining shifts in equilibrium, setting out calculations clearly and writing short answers that match what the marking guidelines reward.

School tasks, depth studies and the HSC exam.
School-based assessment
Module tests, practical tasks and trial examinations make up the school assessment program. We plan sessions around your school's schedule so preparation lands before each task.
Depth studies and practicals
Working Scientifically skills — planning investigations, processing data and evaluating results — run through every module. We coach clear method, analysis and evaluation.
Calculations and the data sheet
Equilibrium constants, pH, titrations and stoichiometry reward careful, well set-out working. Students practise until the method and the data sheet become automatic.
The HSC examination
The external HSC Chemistry exam covers the Year 12 modules with multiple-choice and short-answer sections. Practice uses past NESA papers and marking guidelines to build Band 6 responses.
